John, My 34½ in. wing (tip to tip across top not around bottom) is 1.8 oz. at 52 grams. My 29 in. wing (tip to tip across top not around bottom) is 1.6 oz. at 47 grams. Both have been repaired and have some extra wood in them. I also glassed the wing tips of both with .056 glass and CA. Not much weight but it all adds up. Pod with stick-on plastic (tow/towel) hook is 3.5 zo. 102 grams with glassed tail and foam nose. Total small wing 5.2 oz. 149 grams. Total large wing 5.4 oz. 154 grams. Fat but still flies good. John P.S I know that the oz. numbers don't add up but that is what the scale shows. --- In BugHLG@yahoogroups.com, "gldrgidr" <gldrgidr@m...> wrote: > Can I ask again for some of you who have built the extended wing > (~34") wingspan bug to weigh the wing.
