Check the required operating voltage range for the receiver. Some will operate just fine on a single cell. I'm presently using a single 145mah li-poly with a cirrus microjoule rx and driving 2 falcon servos. Averages about a half hour flying time. The airborne radio with all connectors, LBD and stock antanae weighs 13 grams. I also use a "low battery detector" to warn me when voltage drops below 3 volts. If the volts go too low you've ruined your cell. That also means if you get your glider hung up in tree overnight you've lost that $6 cell. I use an extension between the rx and battery as the switch. Make sure you unplug this after use or again you'll ruin you're cell if drained. I do use a voltage regulator and 2 cells in series when using my FMA Tetra and M5 rx. They require more voltage. Keith
