There is no short kit available but it does sound like a good idea.
The problem is that most of us have modified the design to add a rib on each side to come up with an almost 35" span wing. When you do this, the hole in each rib for the spar changes position. I'd rather see the 35" span version made into a short kit.
I'd also like to see if the Drela AG36 airfoil would give the bug better penetration. I enjoy the Bug, but even at 4 ounces rtf weight, it does not have good penetration, even in light winds.
