Hi Bob,
My guess is that you will find that the changes will be Over-Kill. I
built one at 4.5 oz. and after that put two layers of FG on the fuse
with thin CA. It still needs a dime in the nose when air is not
still. I would build for strength not weight. The next one I build
will have the wider wing with an extra rib to add more wing area (and
weight). In any case it is a great little plane and you will have a
great time with it.
