If the glider tends to loop when you SAL it, you probably still have too much noseweight.  Move the CG back a little and try again.  Remember that the Bug wing planform has sweepback so the CG at the root will be further back than looks right.   Here in the US, spring is just around the corner and I took my Bug out of the closet and plan to replace the broken servo and get her ready for the season.  I miss flying.   John ________________________________ From: Laurie <lwjcarroll@...> To: BugHLG@yahoogroups.com Sent: Sunday, February 26, 2012 6:23 PM Subject: [BugHLG] Balance and Trim...??   Hi, just been out for a fly!!!...A good 20 mins of launches and a little thermaling.... Several weeks ago a club mate checked out the balance and we figured I had to much nose weight in place. Since then I have taken out some lead balls and tried again today...in order to slow it down I had to set in more than I expected in Up trim...so much so that it then started looping off the top of the SAL........Do I need to set trim for SAL and then quickly feed in glide trim once she is up in the air???? I am not sure what to do...it was settling down ok after the launch though.. Rgds Laurie [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
