I've been using single lithium cells for over a year with hitec's 555 receiver. Servos run a bit slower, but not a problem. Think of it as "linear expo". Seriously, my very aerobatic colibri flew with a single lithium, and currently my "eb" (aka mini-jw) is flying with a single 700 ma Li-Ion cell. I don't see a problem in your bug. In fact, it's a great idea! Charge it at 1C. -PJ ----- Original Message ----- From: "gldrgidr" <gldrgidr@...> To: <BugHLG@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Monday, November 17, 2003 8:59 PM Subject: [BugHLG] Li-Poly battery pack > Has anyone tried using a small Li-Poly pack in their Bug? Subject: Li-Poly battery pack
Has anyone tried using a small Li-Poly pack in their Bug? I just bought a 250 mah single cell pack that weighs about .2 ounces. It only puts out 3.7 volts but I've been told that the GWS receiver will handle it. Anyone know this for sure? The cell was $7.05. John
