I don't know if I'd build one but I've always been interested in Winch
systems. I've never seen one used. your micro winch sounds easy to build.
and use. How much room is needed for launch? I've used high starts that
require much room.

All that, and an 'eliptihedral', to boot.... Construction is a bit more
complicated, but not bad, even for a beginner. I may even include plans for
my easy built micro winch to launch it when your arm quits....
