I don't know if I'd build one but I've always been interested in Winch systems. I've never seen one used. your micro winch sounds easy to build. and use. How much room is needed for launch? I've used high starts that require much room. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Phil Peck" <comptrguru@...> To: <BugHLG@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Friday, June 10, 2005 7:27 PM Subject: Re: [BugHLG] Wing weight ?... > My wings weigh 32gr. and 39gr. Both are 30". I consider both way, way to heavy. Stay tuned... Shortly I will publish my new planes. The whole, finished plane (30" wing span) only weighs a bit more than this......RTF!! All that, and an 'eliptihedral', to boot.... Construction is a bit more complicated, but not bad, even for a beginner. I may even include plans for my easy built micro winch to launch it when your arm quits.... > > jeff_hammell <stinkyshorts@...> wrote:My Bug's wing is finished, and coverd. Jeff, Mine weighs 1.5 ounces - almost exactly the same as yours. Is yours an extended wing (34") or a stock span (29")?
