I'll see what I can do John, but the nose is just a sleeve made from scrap EPP? packing material a couple of inches long and slips over the front of the model. Not very elegant but helps when "tent pegging" after a duff launch! Have you seen the videos of the Bug on youtube? Search for Bug hlg. There's one of a guy slope soaring on one of the MIssissippi levees. Amazing!

I used Sellotape Diamond tape for the hinges. This is very thick isn't it. I cut
it to half width, ¼ inch, and pinned the fin and rudder about 3/32" apart then
stuck the tape to the bare wood. This worked OK but with the edges any closer
the hinge was too stiff. I didn't fancy slicing into 1/16" edge to put a mylar
hinge in. What does anyone else use? The covering goes up to but not over the
hinges.
I made a temporary foam "nose" to fit over the Bug. It helps it to bounce when I
make a poor launch! Doesn't seem to affect the flight very much an can bef
removed when I get better.
I used the mylar in the slot but on the latest one I went with just clear
packing tape. You taper one side of each piece (fin-elevator) to a point and
then tape the flat side together.
Would like to see photos of foam nose. Could you upload to the BugHLG group
site?
John
