I am building my first Bug. I'm going to build it stock, but I have a question.
What is the best adhesive to use to glue the ribs to the carbon tube spar?
CA is one of the best, fast and sticks to the carbon (clean with alcohol or lacquer thinner before using) very well.
Or do you bother gluing it?
You MUST glue the ribs to the spar.
Are the glue joints between the ribs, leading edge and trailing edge, and covering enough to keep the ribs solidly in place?
Yes, but I’ve been using carbon caps, 1.5 mm x .06 mm available from A2Z Corp, to make a nearly indestructible wing as this really ties things together. Although the original did not require this.
