Hi Night Owl,
Hahaha ok ill explain a little more. When i was redrawing the bug plan i was not sure what the actual airfoil was, so i went through about 50 odd airfoils and came across the Selig 8040 which looked spot on so i assumed that this was the original bug airfoil.
John then corrected me stating that the original bug airfoil was actually a Selig 3014.
Out of curiosity i over laid the two trying to find the difference. Because when i over laid the airfoil i drew off of the bug plan i was like a glove to hand with the Selig 8040.
Here is a picture of the actual difference of the two airfoils (Selig 8040 vs Selig 3014)

So really the difference between the two is marginal i feel sorry for the guy that made these as i am very sure he would have lost what was what!!!! Hahahaha
So in this picture it shows the airfoil i drew off of the bug plan (in pink) laid over a Selig 8040 http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BugHLG/photos/album/520307090/pic/1466294142/view?picmode=original&mode=tn&order=ordinal&start=1&dir=asc
But like you said once the good old hand sanding happens im sure they will change a bit!
Kind Regards
Alan
