Alan, There's a couple of things that should be changed. The control horns need to be at a steeper angle so that the hole is above a point just ahead of the front bottom edge. This places the hole over the hinge line so you get equal control movement in both directions. Does anyone else think the rudder needs to be a larger percentage of the vertical tail surface? I believe the hinge line needs to be moved forward at least 1/4 inch. For those of us who will be cutting our own ribs, would it be possible for you to have a separate drawing with just the ribs and subribs fitting on one or two pages (8.5x11) for easy printing. I'm most interested in the AG37 set but maybe one set for the fat airfoil and another for the AG37 with subribs? If you are pressed for time you can send me the dwg file and I'll do this. As Chris said, you've done a great job with the plan. We all owe you a debt of gratitude. Agreed. My Bug/Little Nipper/Seeker/Swyft builds have taught me that good wood selection and WBPU beat covering every time for weight. A little FG judiciously placed adds plenty of strength without weight. Check out how short the nose is on my Lil Bugger. Servos are in the wing and I have solid tail surfaces. I'd prefer no holes as well. We need to have a discussion on the holes in the tail members of the new design.  Some people will find that the holes will cause a weakening of the structure and cause failure during launch.  Some of us would like to fiberglass the tail parts to reinforce them for launch and this requires that they be solid.  Alan Wright went through the same thing in his development of the Gambler +.  Originally the kit contained the tail parts with lightening holes but eventually he went to solid tail feathers to allow them to be either holed by the customer or fiberglassed.  If you notice the photos of completed Bug's on our Bughlg group website, most have solid tail feathers. If you are going to make a short kit, you probably should leave out the holes to allow the builder to choose if he wants the weakening holes (or you could call them lightening holes) in the tail.   John ________________________________ From: janhein Ramakers <ramakers@...> To: BugHLG@yahoogroups.com Cc: raincityflyer <lewis08@...> Sent: Tuesday, March 13, 2012 8:39 AM Subject: Re: [BugHLG] Re: Lightninbug SAL or DLG - Version 01a   The plans are ready for the lazer cutter now, And I will do some test cuts this fiday. so for any one who is interested there will come a short kit of the original bug and one of the lightning bug. the lightning bug will have the traditional tail in the kit plus the dlg tail. price for both kits will be 10 euro's plus shipping. Thanks Chris, Maybe that strengthener can go on the inside of the fuse for a finger pinch grip for launching there? Just with out the dowel. Yes its too bad you are traveling!
