Hey, John - How about "Lytnin'Bug"? :P I personally like Alan's version as it adds a little "down under" flavor. I can just hear it with the Kiwi accent. I also like the lightning bolt logo worked into the name. That said, I also prefer his updated tail feathers as well. These little birds need lots of elevator and rudder authority to hand catch well. To me it's another "evolution" of the design. Speaking of which, it's kind of a nit, but the control horns seem to be reversed front to back. I was taught to have the rod attach to the horns directly perpendicular to the hinge line. I'm not opposed to the V tail as an option. I'd never build one, as I'm a dyed in the wool SAL guy. As mentioned, the Y tail is too heavy and the cross tail is well proven for anything but a slingshot launch where it tends to hit your hand on release. None of these details are going to hold me up though as I can easily adapt from the plans to suit my tastes. I prefer different booms, full flying elevators, etc., but that's on me to address during my build. Cheers! This is why I suggested the intentional miss-spelling of the name to Liteninbug. Not likely that anyone else used this name spelling before. For an examble, you can go to the Liftworx site, you will see that he misspells the names of his gliders - Mycro and Swyft intentionally to make the names as unique as possible.   John ________________________________ From: Laurie <lwjcarroll@...> To: BugHLG@yahoogroups.com Sent: Tuesday, March 13, 2012 8:57 PM Subject: [BugHLG] Ref "Lightning Bug" name...   Hi, I have just been looking at the Flying Models plans catalogue (pdf d/l) and found this name is already used...a small powered electric R/C....CF857 issue FM 6-91...
