With the airfoil this thin, subribs would be mandatory.

Let us compare apples to apples. Here's a comparison of S3014 vs AG37, both at the same thickness -7.74%.

One good feature about the AG37 is the thickness at the trailing part of the airfoil. It's thicker so won't be so likely to break.
So I give a yah to the AG37.
Just so everyone understands. This is going to be a big gamble. What we really need is someone to build one with the AG37 airfoil and see if it will even work. One possible problem is that the fabric will wind up resting against the spar in the valleys between the ribs. This would kill it.
Squid,
Seems like you are about there, so suggest that you put both the rib patterns for the original thick airfoil (S3014) and the AG37 rib patterns on the plan.
Just to hedge our bets.
We still need a name. I suggested Bugger. Anyone else suggest a name?
John

Sorry do you mean. Go to the AG38 airfoil or you are keen on the AG37?
